Raleigh's Black History

A sit-in at the Woolworth's on Fayetteville St., a business that "closed rather than integrate":

Doesn't sound very capitalist to me, Woolworth's. Sic 'em, McCarthy!

wow they look so calm. i would've already had five cups of coffee and been frantically eying the bathroom. "damn it! if i leave this chair there might never be a black president!"
good thing the whole civil rights movement thing wasn't left up to me...
