Hi, there. I am actually kind of nervous to be posting my first entry! Since you are probably my friend, you probably already know that in May I moved to Raleigh, North Carolina, and began working as an assitant to a Republican political consultant. As it turns out, answering phones and recording appointments for the Karl Rove of North Carolina is far cushier and less stressful than college, and I usually run out of work to do around 2:00 p.m. This blog, in many ways, represents an attempt to account for those afternoon hours.
One thing I've been missing the past few months is the opportunity for discussion about film, television, books, music, absurd fashion trends, and all other manner of popular culture. I've run to the A.V. Club to satisfy my cravings, but even with all its insight and wit, it doesn't fill the hole in my heart left by you guys, who are now scattered across the globe.
But don't think it's all about pop culture (which carries a dreaded connotation for some people CHRISTINA AND MOHUA). It will also be about politics and religion.
Just kidding.
Maybe.
See you around!
Love,
me
